Cardamom
With decreased output, low carry over stock, thin
arrivals and increasing festive demand, prices are likely
to remain firm. Monsoon showers likely over many places in
Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will be helpful for the
crop. Cardamom is mostly in flowering to harvesting stages
in these regions. |

 |
Turmeric
Low domestic and international demand coupled with
smooth arrivals in AP and TN mandis may continue to
affect the Turmeric prices negatively. Weather outlook
remain favourable in AP. Weather is also favourable for
the Turmeric crop in the parts of TN, which is mostly in
early growth stages. |

Coconut
Prices are likely to be firm on high festive
demand. Cloudy/precipitative conditions prevailing over
coastal and peninsular region are favourable for the
plantations. Sufficient monsoon showers over coastal
Kerala, coastal Karnataka and Konkan region has ensured
optimum moisture to the coconut plantations. |

 |
Coffee
Prices are likely to remain slightly depressed as there
has been bumper international production. Good rain
forecast over parts of coastal and southern Karnataka and
Kerala will be beneficial. But heavy rain received during
post-blossom season have affected the flowering and seed
setting. |
